The Takers

Prologue When a person is in the last few moments of their life they are greeted by a Taker. It is not known where the Takers are from or even what they are. All we really know is that when a person dies there is no light at the the end of a tunnel, there is simply a Taker. Chapter One The sun is scorching the earth. The weatherman said it was supposed to be over 100 degrees today, to stay inside, out of the sun. Samuel doesn't really have a choice. Just another day in Bangkok for an orphan. He's running as fast as his 15 year old body will go. At least the rooftops are relatively flat and the buildings are close enough to jump to.
